Practice Problem Generator

The following links are to pages that will randomly generate problems so that you can practice the calculations to build confidence and proficiency. The solution for each generated problem is also provided so that you can check your results.

Each time you refresh the page, a new scenario is generated.

In the Aircraft Performance section, the calculations are based on a C172S (an extract of the performance charts to be used for the calculations is provided).

The airports are randomly generated (elevation, variation, number and headings of runways, etc). In the case of the Departure problems in the IFR section, the departure procedure is randomly generated as well as the climb performance for a fictitious aircraft.

The weather is randomly generated for all problems.
